The focus area Translational Neuromuscular Research bridges fundamental research and clinical applications to enhance the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of neuromuscular disorders. This area focuses on a spectrum of conditions, including immune-mediated muscle diseases (myositis), genetic myopathies, and neuropathies in childhood and adulthood as well as rare neuromuscular conditions. By combining advanced diagnostic techniques with molecular and cellular studies, this area seeks to uncover novel mechanistic insights and therapeutic strategies for these complex diseases.
